Learn the music theory that enables you to play along, improvise, and understand the music you love.
The problem
Most music theory apps are boring textbooks, narrow single-skill tools, or they lack integrated ear training - so you can't use what you learn.

Master intervals, chords, and progressions with integrated ear training. Learn to identify keys, play along with songs, and improvise. Each lesson you complete lights up a star.

Just like real knowledge, your stars dim if you don't practice. This shows you what you actually remember vs. what's slipped away.

Daily practices restore fading stars. The app reminds you what needs review, so you spend time on what matters most.
Built for performers - Learn to play along, improvise, and understand what you're hearingKnowledge that sticks - Your review schedule adapts as concepts become second natureGamified learning - Maintain your stars, track your stats, earn achievement badgesEar training integrated - Every lesson includes listening exercises, not just theory

ABOUT
I've wanted to learn music theory for years. To hear a song and know what's happening, to jam along without fumbling, and to improvise and actually sound like I know what I'm doing.I tried different apps, but they were either boring, too narrow, or taught theory I couldn't actually use when I sat down to play.So I decided to build something myself.Foolight is named after my dad. Foo (福) means blessing, good fortune. He passed away in October 2025.My dad was brilliant, but due to circumstances, he never got the chance to achieve what he was capable of. It pained me, and that's why I care about education - I want to help people reach their potential. If you've been looking for practical music theory - theory you can actually use to perform - I'm building it.Launching February 2026.
